How to find your katori size
- Fill your katori to the brim with water.
- Pour it into a measuring jug, or weigh it: 1 ml of water is 1 g.
- Under 170 ml, pick “small katori” in the converter; over that, pick “large”.
Most steel katoris sold in Pakistan hold 150 to 200 ml. Small sweet-dish katoris can be 100 ml.
Katori, cup and glass
A US cup is 240 ml, a metric cup 250 ml, and a typical drinking glass 250 ml. So 1 cup is roughly 1½ small katoris, and a glass of milk is about 1⅔ small katoris.
