How the plan is made
- Balanced week: your daal and sabzi days are spread out, and the same meat never comes two nights in a row.
- Quick weeknights: Monday to Thursday get dishes that are ready in about 30 minutes, like qeema matar, aloo anday and moong masoor daal.
- Weekend specials: Friday to Sunday get the slow dishes: biryani, nihari, qorma and pulao.
- Budget week: keeps to daal, sabzi, eggs, chicken and qeema.

Make the week easier
- Cook once, eat twice. Make double daal or salan and keep half for the next day’s lunch or the office tiffin.
- Prep on Sunday. Blend a jar of ginger-garlic paste, fry a box of onions (birista) and boil a pot of chickpeas. Weeknight cooking gets twice as fast.
- Keep a back-up dinner. Eggs, a tin of chickpeas and frozen parathas save the day when plans change.

Questions people ask
What is a good weekly Pakistani meal plan?
A balanced week has two or three daal or sabzi days, two chicken days, one or two beef or mutton days and one egg or fish day, with a slow special dish like biryani or nihari at the weekend. The generator builds this for you.
Can I make a vegetarian desi meal plan?
Yes. Untick chicken, beef, mutton, fish and eggs, or set daal or sabzi days to 7, and every dinner will be daal or sabzi.
How do I keep a day I like?
Tap the lock next to that day, then tap “Make my plan” again. Locked days stay and the rest of the week changes.
Is the shopping list exact?
It lists the main ingredients in rough amounts for your number of people. Check your store cupboard for atta, rice, oil, onions, ginger, garlic and spices.
